AFT Massachusetts is proud to represent faculty and staff at the Berklee College of Music, Cambridge College, the Wentworth Institute of Technology and UMass Dartmouth, where, in 1970, faculty members successfully negotiated one of the very first collective bargaining agreements at a U.S. university. We’re also pleased to welcome a new higher education local to the AFT MA family: the Longy Faculty Union at the Longy School of Music.
Along with faculty, AFT MA members include university support staff, part-time instructors and classified employees. We’re proud to advocate on behalf of the men and women who make the Commonwealth’s colleges and universities work.
AFT MA is also an active member of the Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts, a grassroots effort to increase the state’s investment in public higher education, making it more affordable and accessible to the citizens of the Commonwealth.
