Teachers

AFT Massachusetts has represented teachers in the Commonwealth since 1916, when teachers in the greater Boston area received a charter from the American Federation of Teachers. Today, AFT Massachusetts represents thousands of teachers, not just in Boston, but in Lawrence, Lynn, Lowell, Salem, Billerica, Amesbury, Medway, Holliston, North Attleboro and elsewhere.

We're proud to have as our members teachers who work in some of the most challenging schools in the state. AFT Massachusetts seeks to make sure that these teachers have everything they need to do their jobs and do them well.
